Catherine Malandrino presented her collection in a beautiful raw loft space in the former New York Times building. The backdrop added some New York drama to an old-world Paris love affair and served the collection well.
I have been working with the Malandrino PR and Design teams for the past month and had the chance to see the collection up close. I especially appreciate all the embellishments and intricate detailing that went into many of the pieces. Embellishment happens to be one of my specialties and I was surrounded by absolutely exquisite beading and embroideries among other luxurious opulence.
This Noir Polka Dot Embroidered Fish Net Dress happens to be among one of my favorites from the collection. I also happen to be standing off to the side in this photo.
This Long Black Dress is a Malandrino Master Piece of Work with delicate lace entwined and patched among a maze of tubular leather and crochet.
The Mirrored Reflections Skirt was also among my favorites. Worn with Mezzanote Broadtail Jacket with Leather Trim, Emerald Green Chiffon Blouse, Bijoux Collier Handmade Necklace and Noir Basket-Weave Heels.

Among the Beautifully Handcrafted Accessories was this Very Special Paris/New York Oversized Python Tote in Navy, Red and White. And I love this necklace.
